Our Mission

Alsalam Community Development Association is a leading national relief and development charity that endorses, develops and voluntarily assists society in the community in all grateful ways. Our work is driven by a passionate belief that we all have a duty to serve the community and society. ACDA willingly serves all people regardless of race, religion, or gender.

Committees

The ACDA Funeral Services Committee provides all inclusive funeral services with the highest quality and respect. The board was created in 2018 to provide funeral services to the members of the Community.

This board consists of ten dedicated youth members, who serve the community through planning and hosting events for the community, specifically targeting the youths. As a result, youths have the opportunity to connect with each-other as well as be encouraged to serve the community in some way. ACDA organize yearly event and hope to engage the youth of ACDA.

The Public Engagement Committee’s role is to be the voice of the ACDA. It works alongside the Board of Directors and other ACDA committees to do this. The objective is to enable and facilitate effective communication between the ACDA and its stakeholders and undertake outreach activities.

Is a subcommittee of the ACDA that is committed to enhancing the social fabric of our community through educational workshops and professional counselling services.

    We also have a dedicated team who focuses on educational services, through workshops and seminars on topics such as Children, Educational, and Schooling adjustment issues, Birds and Bees Seminar, Stress Management and Marriage workshops

The Media Committee’s role is to be the voice of the ACDA.

We are looking for motivated community members who want to contribute to the ACDA’s Media and Public Engagement Committee. This committee is the voice of our community; we write external-facing communications materials, build internal communications capacity, organize and conduct public engagement and outreach activities. We make sure that our community members and volunteers feel supported in all their communications and public engagement needs.

ACDA Volunteer Corps is one of the main pillars of ACDA Community Centre. They are activities revolve around the numerous programs conducted by JCC throughout the year. Our ongoing activities include preparation and distribution of tea and tabarruk during the Jumeraat programs as well as to set up all logistics for milad and majlis events scheduled at team. Additionally the volunteer team has always provided services for private functions held at our centre.
The team comprises of volunteers from all age groups and it provides a training ground to the leaders of tomorrow. The management tries to encourage participation from the younger generation among its cadre from time to time in order to instill the sense of free serving.

The Senior Citizens Group vision was to organize activities where seniors could gather, support each other, learn together, become active and have fun. Together with ongoing social programs, we are able to incorporate educational, physical and mentally stimulating programs such as yoga. Overcoming challenges in the past made us a stronger group as we work together to better and broaden our goals. United not only can we achieve future success, but we will continue to be an example of strength for our younger leaders within the community.

The ACDA Projects Development Committee was established by the in June 2020 to review, recommend and facilitate the implementation of all capital projects approved by the ACDA in a transparent and cost-effective manner, with a mission to ensure that the ACDA develops facilities that will cater for the spiritual, practical, social and financial needs of the community.
The comprises of business people and professionals, experienced and knowledgeable in the fields of real estate and property development, as well as in general business matters.

To coordinate the activities of all various educational groups affiliated with the ACDA.
To cater for Training and Developmental needs of our community members.
To provide scholarships and bursaries for members who meet a set criterion and requirements as specified by the Board
To provide Career counselling for members of the ACDA
To connect the professionals in our group through online engagement and networking opportunities
Our Goal: To enhance the secular, social and academic education of all community through continuous engagement.
